Love this place! Such a cute atmosphere with amazing food! I love the grab your own coffee bar! I try to order something different each time but I always get the crepes too! They are SO GOOD! And their homemade bread is off the charts!
Very good deli sandwiches and soups. First time here, stopped in due to good ratings and it didn't disappoint. Their sandwich / soup combos are a good deal, cheaper than ordering separately and it come with drink, chips and homemade cookie ! Had the Rueben and Thai chicken sandwiches one with Clam Chowder the other with Stuffed Pepper Soups. Everything was very tasty. We will be back !
They have some great vegetarian options which I really enjoyed! I had the Rueben (no meat) on rye and can't wait to go back! Thanks for the great food. They had a nice lunch crowd. My order was carry out and food was ready when I arrived within 15 minutes!
Food- ordered coffee and Hawthorne sandwich with pasta salad. Hawthorne sandwich is turkey, coleslaw, lettuce, tomato, and Russia dressing. I chose rye bread. They have many options. Excellent sandwich. Salad was good. Nice to have this option instead of chips. Service- ordered carryout. Received fast and friendly service. Asked for a recommendation and really liked my choice. Ambiance- nice little Cafe. Has healthy options.
Honestly, this place is a hidden gem. Really amazing down to earth food. Isn't overly fancy but everything here is delicious.
Looking for a great breakfast and lunch place? Have you been to Half Day Cafe in Rochester Hills? What a find. We just loved their homemade bread! Spinach & feta omelette & the western omelette were both very tasty...both served with delicious crispy potatoes (they had a hint of sweet) & thick homemade toast. There is a reason this place was so packed. Go check them out!
I enjoy Half Day Cafe. It's unimposing from the outside, but was bustling for Saturday around eleven. Nearly all the booths were taken and a few carry-out orders were ready at the counter for pick-up. Cool to see this place busy because these are the types of establishments you want staying in business. I ordered the chipotle chicken sandwich. They cook the chicken breast fresh to order on the stove top ( about 5-7 oz ). I got the Italian bread for my sandwich. They toast the bread stovetop as well and apply hefty amounts of butter. Maybe too much, but still Very tasty. The chipotle mayo is a nice touch along with the fresh tasting tomatoes. They use cheddar which works really well on this sandwich.
